August 28th
Owen was born on August 28, 2009. In honor of his birthday and the fact that he will be 2 this year (yay!), we would like to donate something special for the NICU families at Oakland Children's Hospital NICU and Doctor's Medical Center NICU Modesto. However, we are having trouble thinking of something special for these special families. If you have any ideas on what to donate/do for these families please comment here!

Bag Delivery May 6th, 2011 - Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, CA
We were thrilled to be able to donate 20 gift bags to Doctors Medical Center NICU in Modesto on May 6th, 2011. We originally only planned to donate 14 more bags to Oakland Children's Hospital NICU for our Mother's Day delivery. However, because of some things happening in Oakland, we were unable to donate to them before Mother's Day. Luckily, we were able to get ahold of the right people at Doctors and, because of many unexpected donations, we were able to donate enough gift bags for each baby and some extra for those who may be admitted. This hospital is special to us because Owen was born and spent his first 3 weeks in their NICU.
Along with the 20 gift bags we donated, we also donated Mother's Day bracelets and suckers for all the mothers spending their first Mother's Day in the NICU with their precious little one. It is so hard to be in the NICU with your little baby struggling for life, especially when a holiday passes by. Owen spent many of his first holidays in the NICU. It was important for me to be able to donate during Mother's Day. I hope that these small gifts put smiles on many moms spending their special day with their little one in the NICU.

Mother's Day Delivery
Mother's Day is coming up! We are planning a delivery. Due to the current nurses strike at Oakland Children's Hospital, we will be donating to another hospital - Doctors Medical Center in Modesto! These NICU moms deserve the best this mother's day. They are spending each day supporting and taking care of their tiny baby who is fighting for his/her life. We plan to donate 20 NICU gift bags on May 6th, right before mother's day. We will also be donating special bracelets and another mother's day gift for all these speical mothers.
